Other jolly forecasts? 50% GDP destruction plus “mass mortality, mass displacement, severe economic contraction and conflict.” 😥

So is JCB doing it? No. Betting big on hydrogen. I think unlikely to work (see past editions).

Just when you thought US couldn’t get madder, they tell Africans to… burn coal

Seriously? Seriously.
Will they? Unlikely. In sunny places, solar is cheaper, faster and easier (Reuters). Few people will finance coal either.
And air pollution. 25,000 South Africans died last year from coal emissions (Global Voices).
So this means US is building coal? None. Closing mines. Plus, in 2024, generated more from wind & solar than from coal 🤦‍♂️.
