One thing to worry about

Another record. Warmest June ever.

13th straight record months. The warmest 13 months in the last 100,000 years. Are you getting it?

Also, Death Valley may break all temperature records on Monday (LA Times).

One thing to be optimistic about

Seen the UK press assaulting EVs? Me neither. But they have been, big time.

So, how are electric cars doing?

  • UK, June: EVs reach 19% market share, up 7.4% while petrol down 7.8% (@drsimevans)

  • 99% of EV drivers would recommend electric (Fully Charged)

  • Ford: all sales up 1%, EVs sales up 61% (Ford)

  • GM’s EV sales up 44% (GM)

  • VW investing $5bn in Rivian, a US EV maker (Reuters)

  • Electric cars cheaper than ICE cars in China (@johnrhanger)

  • Battery/hybrids now 44% of Chinese sales (Carbon Brief)

Meanwhile, chemicals company Ineos delays its Fusilier EV because of … ‘uncertainty’ 🤡🤡🤡.

There are lies, damn lies, and Telegraph articles about EVs
