Hydrogen ain’t happening, chapter 562
What happened? FT found 60 major hydrogen projects have been abandoned this year alone.
Why? Costs a lot. Governments not willing to fund. And, well, no-one uses it.
Does it have a future? EU plans 20% bloc’s energy from H₂ in 2050. Does anyone believe that?

Wham, bam: CBAM to slam EU imports Jan 1
What happened? World’s first carbon import tax (“Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism”) on carbon starting. Imports to be taxed based on how much CO₂ went into production - wherever it was.
Isn’t that just protectionism? Yes. But if local companies abide by rules, shouldn’t importers?
