Renewables means re-birth: South Oz ramping for a new industrial revolution
South Australia? Anything there? Soon: Miners, green steel, data centres… 37 industrial companies have applied for an astounding 15GWe of new power, 10x the current load in the state of South Australia.
Why? Come 2027 this grid will be 100% net renewable power. And cheap.

Nuclear fusion producing more power than fission
Um, we don’t have “fusion” yet. Not on earth, but God put a large fusion reactor in the sky, which sends us 100x our annual energy needs, every day. You just need a receiver (solar panel, obv).
Oh, so it’s a poor joke about the sun being a nuclear fusion reactor? Yes.

A Seagull is terrifying Western industry
Another story about Chinese electric cars? Yes. But one of the most critical stories of our time.
So? The BYD Seagull is alive, and it’s going to slay. Crazy quality, $8k.
And it means? Trad manufacturers say EVs can’t be done and beg for subsidies. China’s just doing it. So, the west is… cooked 🍳.

One thing to worry about
Kind of a weird one.
White roofs reflect the sun, keeping buildings cool. Lots more would reduce global warming (really).
But folk selling dark asphalt & tar roofing products don’t like this. So, they’re lobbying against people painting roofs white, reports Mother Jones.
Mad. But such is our world…
One thing to be optimistic about
Safe haven for sea life
Offshore wind farms… might be very good for fish and other sea life.
