India to build 42GW solar THIS YEAR. Is this a transition or a walkover?

Is 42GW a lot? Roughly the UK’s power demand. In a year. In one technology 😱.
How fast does it get them off coal? Solar probably bigger in 2028 - and likely solar+batteries cheaper than coal then. They’re leapfrogging fossils entirely.

Tidal wave of old EV batteries to create $70B recycling industry. No more mining for critical minerals?

Can you recycle EV batteries? Yes of course.
But, I was told EVs need lots of bad mining! In fact, predictions are EV batteries might only be made from old EV batteries by mid-2040s. Almost no mining needed.
Oh, so it’s an opportunity? Yes.
